SWEX 2022
In Spring of 2022, the Sundowner Wind EXperiment was conducted in coastal Santa Barbara, CA. The experiment, lead by CLIVAC UCSB, is a multi-institutional effort to better comprehend Sundowner characteristics and main mechanisms from observations and modeling. The field experiment included 18 flux towers, 6 lidars, 3 microwave wind profiles and many other instruments. During IOPs, one aircraft, mobile lidar were deployed, and radiosoundings at 4 different locations were released for a period of 6 weeks.
